Well, my second choice worked out.
Cordelia was the only one who had a pure spirit, but I thought maybe since the actress was "last character standing" in Season 2, they wouldn't give her the honors again this season. I also was on edge the entire time while she and Mommie dearest there were hugging at the end... waiting for some dark depressing twist... but they played it straight this time.
I actually liked the fact that the ending was positive. Pretty much the first two seasons had wicked endings, and this one actually ended as a positive. Cordelia will be a wonderful, constructive Supreme. She was the only one that really cared about ALL the girls.
I think probably the best twist for me was Myrtle insisting she be laid to rest with the old regime and pay for her crimes, as part of establishing Cordelia's reign. It was the last sacrifice of the only real mother in Cordelia's life. As soon as she started talking, I figured out what she was suggesting.
At least the Axeman is happy.
