i think your post makes a lot of assumptions about what sort of opportunities are available... that was also the period when the plauge killed something like 75-200 million people... your station of birth made a much bigger impact than your type... this was when churches chained the bible to a pulpit, even though most folks couldn't read...

That seems more like the STP life. Unless you meant it as symbolically slaying with your Te prowess, in which case, carry on.
Like someone else said (I’m too lazy to look up who), the Middle Ages were only good to the rich, and even then, no guarantee that you wouldn’t die from disease or from angry peasant uprisings.
