Has anyone heard of him? he's gained some indie and ungerground popularity in the last decade and couple of years and he plays a kind of unique folk psychedelic trip-hop music where he kind of raps and sings a little over his beats and it's refreshing because of how authentic and real it is but at the same time I think he's kinda over rated and I don't get what the appeal is. Like, he doesn't have that much noticeable personality or charisma and his lyrics are really weird and kind of random giberish sounding, but not in a cool whoa that's far out, but kinda like, I don't know he just seems fried to me. I usually don't say or judge people like that but man he just seems so fried. Is Kurt Vile fried? am I missing the appeal?

He makes weird music. I'm not really a fan (and also not a fan of War on drugs). But I have no idea why he would be "fried". I mean he's productive and all that.

Just thought he was INFP (maybe ISFP).
Don't know about his personality, but his lyrics make sense to me. :D
I dont love, but I like his music. Kind of Tom Petty-like. I am guessing Tom Petty is ISFP.

Kurt Vile is most likely INFJ. As an INFJ myself, his thoughts and sentiments are so relatable I cry regularly over the same lyrics again and again. He isn't "fried" and one doesn't need psychedelics to write in an introspective stream-of-consciousness style. The deep introspection and extremely clever word play says INFJ. Songs like "That's Life" "Wild Imagination" and "One Trick Ponies" scream a strong strong Ni and Fe. I've thought it possible that he is INTJ but I don't see how someone could write something like "One Trick Ponies" without heavy Ni and Fe. Being an INFJ is incredibly isolating so I feel I can spot the artists who come from the same persuasion of perspective as me.
