There's so much great stuff in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul that could be put here -- SO many memorable scenes. Like, I'd be here all day posting.

While there's some crazy-funny or crazy insane moments in this series, I'm going to bring up one of the most understated scenes:

I don't think there is anything like the finale scene of BB where Walter and Skyler meet for the last time.

There are clips but they inexplicably don't start with this wonderful piece of camera work (So I don't even want to post them) where Skylar gets off the phone with Marie after Marie warns her that Walt is back in town. Skylar acknowledges the call while she is anxiously smoking. After she carefully hangs up and you think you are looking at her pondering an empty kitchen, the camera begins to slowly -- ever so slowly -- move forward as you realize there is an unexplained shadow on the floor, and you hear Skylar murmur in a resigned voice, "Five minutes." Yes, Walt was there, but we couldn't see him... just as Marie had no idea the man she was just badmouthing and trying to protect her sister from was standing nearby quietly waiting for a few minutes of her time.

It's kind of the emotional culmination of their relationship, as they salvage what shattered remnants of their relationship they can, but they both know it is over. This is more a time for last words, final glances, saying the most important things left to be said.

Which is what Walt does. He gives Skylar the scraps of what he can and then instead of excuses admits the truth he denied for so long about why he did what he did. The coordinates are of some practical use, but that admission is the only final, meaningful gift he can offer her. She responds by graciously letting him hold his daughter a final time.

And then he hides outside and watches his son -- without trying to intercept him or win him back -- go into the house with his wife and daughter. This is his last memory of them.

The whole sequence is the heartbreaking aftermath of the explosions of "Ozymandias," and you can see the best, most loving, most gentle parts of Walter White, before he embraces his tough villain role a final time to confront Jack and his crew and finish everything he started.

And the precision and control of the pacing in this sequence is amazing. Like, it is so agonizingly slow, except that's what makes the scene feels alive. It feels as real as if it were breathing. I love how they don't race through it but the editing and acting just give it as much time as it needs to register.

If I could find something including the initial mugging as well as the in-laws on the carrriage ride from hell, we'd have the best scenes from the best episode from the best season of this show. There's something so satisfying about how everything comes together for the climax. Peak Seinfeld, IMO.

The whole engagement plotline that he wanted to escape from immediately was great stuff.
