Evil We Do by Carl Goldberg, like this book so far, will probably read other books by this guy in future.
Also Life Itself Is an Art: Life and Work of Erich Fromm by Rainer Funk, so I'm in a good reading place.
Plus I'm finishing The Exorcist, its been a better book than I expected if I'm honest.

Just started Salem's Lot by Stephen King.

07-12-2019, 05:44 PM #2495Sassy is the cat in the moment of destiny...
For the cat is cryptic,
and close to strange things which men cannot see.
He is the soul of antique Aegyptus,
and bearer of tales from forgotten cities in Meroë and Ophir.
He is the kin of the jungle’s lords,
and heir to the secrets of hoary and sinister Africa.
The Sphinx is his cousin, and he speaks her language;
but he is more ancient than the Sphinx,
and remembers that which she hath forgotten...

"Born a Crime" by Trevor Noah.
It's got some good stuff in there for situations I'm dealing with currently.

Re-reading Poul Anderson's 'Tau Zero', as I like having good sci-fi as pre-sleep reading and need to get new ones again. Also in the middle of 'Roderick Hudson' by Henry James.

Swift steeds, dreary nights, and the desolate wasteland, all know me full well
