Neuroses in 2016

Welcome to 2016. It is a gorgeous sunny day here today, the perfect day for a New Year, just the right time for a New Year's resolution.

Imagine not using Central for personal attacks, realising that personal attacks on Central are sign of neurosis.

Personal attacks on Central are neurotic because we don't know each other personally and are separated in time and space, so it is clear that personal attacks on Central are a substitute, an acting out, of personal conflicts in the real world.

And the acting out of unresolved personal conflicts is neurosis.

In a therapeutic setting we would analyse the neurosis, evaluate the neurosis, and integrate the analysis and evaluation into our daily lives.

But Typology Central is not a therapeutic setting, we do not offer therapy. So it is entirely inappropriate to be acting out our neuroses on Central.

Unfortunately many neuroses are compulsory, they are not under our conscious control. So we can expect neuroses to leak all over Central. God help us.

Neurosis and Emotional Intelligence

Ur persnall ataks jst tak3 longa 2 g3t 2 da poynt.

Acting out our neuroses on typology central feels good, in the same way lighting up a cigarette feels good. But acting out neuroses or smoking only feeds our addiction, and soon we have withdrawal symptoms and we need to act out or light up once again, and again, and again.

And it is this repetition of the neurosis or cigarette that creates a trance - the trance of neurosis or the trance of smoking.

And in a trance our critical minds go to sleep, and we are unable to practise emotional restraint.

And as emotional restraint is the hallmark of emotional intelligence, both acting out our neurosis and smoking make us less emotionally intelligent.

Sussing

Who is, Lark or Mole.

Lark is a well read Irishman who has the courage of his convictions, and Mole is a bit of a sop who kind of hangs around the edges, admiring those in the centre, and trying to get a little attention, by being pretentious and condescending.

Needless to say Lark sings like a Lark in full flight, while Mole protects himself underground.

What a contrast: the full swelling sound of the Lark ascending, while Mole descends to the safety of Mole End.

To suss out Mole End just click on The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame: Ch. 5: Dulce Domum
