Anyone know the song When the Music's Over, by the Doors?
I want to say that it is one of the most powerful, deep, most meaningful song I have listened to.
Here is a piece of it:
"When the music's over
When the music's over
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
For the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end
Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the house of detention
I got some friends inside
The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive", she cried
Waiting for me
Outside
Before I sink into the big sleep
I want to hear, I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly.."
I want to know what anyone else thinks about this song, if it really means something to them, or at least, what you think of the lyrics, because Jim Morrison, though an extreme drug abuser, was a very very deep person, and unlike most, if not all other musical groups, or singers, he really is saying something in his lyrics..about life..about death..things that transcend simple relationships, and everyday things like most music is about..
So..what are you're thoughts?
