Anyone know the song When the Music's Over, by the Doors?

I want to say that it is one of the most powerful, deep, most meaningful song I have listened to.

Here is a piece of it:

"When the music's over
When the music's over
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights

For the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end

Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the house of detention
I got some friends inside

The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive", she cried
Waiting for me
Outside

Before I sink into the big sleep
I want to hear, I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly.."

I want to know what anyone else thinks about this song, if it really means something to them, or at least, what you think of the lyrics, because Jim Morrison, though an extreme drug abuser, was a very very deep person, and unlike most, if not all other musical groups, or singers, he really is saying something in his lyrics..about life..about death..things that transcend simple relationships, and everyday things like most music is about..

So..what are you're thoughts?

Jim Morrison wasn't an extreme drug abuser, at least not toward the end. Alcohol was his D.O.C. Sure, he did trip on a lot of acid and smoke his share of pot, but he mostly just drank. In the end, it was alcohol that lead to his passing out in a bathtub in Paris and drowning, not illegal drugs. LSD, of course did have a major influence on his earlier work.
I like 'When The Music's Over' quite a lot. I can't decide if it's my favorite doors song or if it's 'The End.' Whenever I listen to WTMO it really makes me feel strange, like the song has an intoxicating effect or something. I'm pretty sure I have a copy of The Doors' Greatest Hits in my CD case and I'll probably play it when I drive to a jobsite in a little while. I just hope I don't show up too confused and disoriented to battle the robot menace that is ripping the arms off of helpless factory workers. I love my job sometimes. I'll save as many of them as I can, but if anyone dies I'll make sure that WTMO is the last thing they hear as they sink into the big sleep.

you asked 'what are you're thoughts?'
careful what you wish for.
i'll have more
