Wow, Obama is going to be President!
Yea!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that McCain's concession speech was very gracious and beautiful. I think McCain is basically a good guy in a bad party, it is a shame that he had to become something different and had to become untrue to himself just to keep his base.
I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes when CNN cut to a shot showing Jesse Jackson with tears rolling down his face. There is so much weight behind those tears.
I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes when Obama came out and gave his acceptance speech.
I hope Al Franken manages to win the senate position in Minnesota, I am rooting for him.
I just bought an Obama Shirt earlier today and am so glad. I recorded Obama's speech- I should have thought to record McCain's as well- and I am going to keep tomorrow's paper and put the shirt- paper and tape into a chest or keepsake box for Natalie as this is such a history making momment- who would have thought that I would be able to see this in my lifetime where there would be a black president. It is fantastic and amazing and exciting.
I am not black myself, I can only imagine how proud and dear to the heart it is for those of color or any minority- it is on a level I could never be able to appreciate adequately. My pride in this momment is but a pale shadow in comparison.
I am just so glad that intelligence won! I am proud to have such an intelligent, calm, inspiring man taking to office!
