Pretty all the big tech companies have engaged in questionable behavior, if not outright exploitation of workers or people in general.
It may be that Amazon's exploitation is of warehouse workers and not their software people. It may be that Apple strong arms their overseas factories to exploit and abuse their sweat shop workers. Meta Microsoft, and Alphabet may have great projects that have the potential to move humanity forward, but it's hard to deny how social media has eroded the fabric of society.
Big Tech has a monopsony on tech work (and lots of other types of work also).
We need alternatives to them for places to work. But it's difficult to get away in any meaningful form.
Edit: Again it isn't a generational thing. It's a we-all-got-fed-up-during-their-coming-of-age thing. That's all workers of all ages.
