Someone asked me what virtual acting is and I wanted to save the answer in case someone else is wondering.

What is virtual acting?

"You may not fully understand what virtual acting is if you don't know what a virtual world is.

I work in a dedicated virtual world that services different industries. Right now while I'm typing this I'm working as a DMAT doctor. We often do demos to get companies as clients and then the clients will use the world in their own way.

One way I explain it is when a bomb goes off somewhere there is a team that goes in and has to coordinate everything. Oftentimes these people don't work together. They usually practice once a year and have to pay people to lie in the streets, fly in or drive in anyone that doesn't live there, and have to get a certain area dedicated to the exercise.

A certain hospital is our client and they actually got their hospital created virtually. We took pics all over the hospital and created it just like it is in real life. So they can do their yearly bomb-practice but quarterly they can do the practice online with all the same people.

It is apparently pretty cutting edge."
