Modern technological trends have made it so that computing plays a large role in our lives. From many hours in the office at a computing workstation, to the use of other gadgets such as mobile phones.
But this comes at a cost. Back pain and RSI from sitting at a desk and using keyboards/mice is becoming common.
But on a more fundamental issue, is the rate which we can communicate with the computing interface itself. The time taken to physically type a message (as opposed to saying it out loud - especially in the cases of SMS etc) or physically navigate a GUI with a mouse.
What are your thoughts on the practical future of interfacing with computing technology?
Note: more distant ideas such as direct brain interfaces should only be discussed with reference to actual scientific literature.
