I resent the grown-up-centric world. The concept that youth are less than people enrages me. I think respect ought to be based on merit, not age. Despite the fact that intelligence [the word, by the way, comes from the Latin roots for 'read between the lines' ;) ] tends to increase with age, great maturity and worthy ideas can be found in the younger generation also. There's even, for example, this provocative essay, called The Final Prejudice: http://www.youthrights.org/final.shtml. I find that the human rights are less respected in youth, and they are given less space, which to me is especially irritating. :steam: It rails against my sense of justice, my need for it.
