Today I went to the doctor for my prenatal appt. And my blood pressure was holyshit HIGH! Normally my top number is 102-117 over 70ish and today I was 153/90. So I asked the doctor if she would recheck it after talking to me and she said sure... so they checked it again and it was 149/90  so she made me lie down for 10 mins with the lights dimmed and told me to meditate. She had the nurse come in and check it and it when down to 128/64. I'm frustrated because I have done everything I can to lower it. I cut sodium out of my diet a lot, I stopped drinking soda and I just drink water... And my BP is still rising :( My doctor said I'm doing everything right but I'm still upset! :(

Aw, :(. If the laying down, meditation, and dimmed lights made an impact - then maybe being frustrated/upset is contributing. Before your appointment were there things that were causing anxiety?

I'd try to stop focusing on it and worrying about it - do things that make you relaxed. Take a nice warm bubble bath with candles and music, start meditating daily, whatever personally makes you feel calm.
