I like the idea of a theory that offers a way to people to learn about themselves and that can answer questions like why people behave the way they do or why some people are more symphathetic than others. What I don't like about the theory is it stereotypes the 16 personalities making it seem that some types are at a greater advantage or that a certain type is smarter than other types. I also think that the cognitive functions are explained quite clearly but their explainations shouldn't be taken literally for instance Ne according to Jung likes to create possibilities, sees what isn't there hence abstract thought process but we need to take into consideration that that whatever cognitive functions we have are manifested differently in each person even if they have the same personality type. Something else to take into account is that some people learn to use their fuctions more wisely. The enviornment a person is raised in has a huge impact on your individual personality someone who is Se dominant but is raised in a Ne dominant household could potentially clash with that person. These are my opinions about the theory I am interested to hear what you the public has to say so please post.
