I recently got hooked on this series and have binge-watched most of the first two seasons. For a comedy, it's surprisingly historically accurate (for the most part) and balances blunt force toilet humor with subtler, well-written satire lampooning both the Viking culture and aspects of present day culture.

Here is a tentative typing of the main characters:
Orm - probably an ENTP. At times he comes across as dumb as bricks, but he is also good at scheming and inventing/manufacturing events to benefit himself (although they often backfire in his face). Despite his villainous, self serving ways, he does seem to envision a better future for his culture, and seems driven by exploration of those possibilities.
Arvid - Initially I suspected ISTP, but I think he may be an ISFJ or ISFP. A capable warrior, but also soft spoken and polite. Very tradition-oriented, as he frequently makes statements like "it's the rules" even in situations that are to his disadvantage and have obviously been manufactured by Orm or Varg. Probably the most polite barbarian in the world, even when informing subjugated villages he will be razing them if they don't pay protection money. I am leaning ISFJ for his type.
Frøya - ESTP.
Rufus of Rome - ExxJ
Kark - ?
Olav - ESTP? He's not in the show long enough for me to get a good impression.
Hildur - ?
Jarl Varg - Stereotypical INTJ villain
Liv - ExFJ
