Myers briggs types are a lie.
If you think about it when you take the test it goes by percentages
of your preferences:
Mary "INFJ"
Introversion 64%
Intuition 90%
Feeling 54%
Judging 94%
Sarah "INFJ"
Introversion 94%
Intuition 90%
Feeling 97%
Judging 94%
Jenny "ENTJ"
Extroversion 62%
Intuition 90%
Feeling 60%
Judging 94%
Mary and Sarah are both labeled "INFJ" but they have a 30% difference in introversion where as Mary and Jenny only have a 26% difference!
Mary and Sarah have a 43% difference in feeling where as Mary and Jenny only have a 14% difference!
This means that it could be common for an "INFJ" and "ENTJ" to have much more similair personalities then two "INFJ"s. Think about it.......
I needed to post this because I became quite obsessed with myers briggs for a few years. I always got the results of INFJ. I even unknowingly married an ENTP. (They are stereotyped as the perfect mbti couple). I was amazed and even read many stories comparing the similairities between our relationship and other ENTP INFJ couples.
However I wasted SO MUCH TIME. We are COMPLETELY different from them.. heck we could even be more similair to an ENFJ/INTJ couple! I dont remember the percentage of his prefernces.. Anyways NEVER associate types and relationships.. or even read the profile of your type. Its a lie..If you think about what I posted above it doesnt matter whats " type" you are but the percentages of your preferences. Sure a pure ESFJ would be the same as another pure ESFJ.. but most humans dont have 100% pure prefences on the four areas..........
Now I am thankful my addiction will end because I finally understand types to have about the same amount of truth as horoscopes. Hope this helps some other people who were addicted to the lie like I was..
