I was having this conversation with someone else, and it's so strange that it finally solidified in my mind while we were talking that I have to write it down, so that I don't forget it.

Probably other people find this, too, that the functions are felt as "pictures" or sketches inside their mind. I could (and probably should) draw a quick sketch of each one on paper. They also have colors, to me, which I'll list here.

Ni = glowing, eerie blue
Ne = green
Si = brown
Se = red
Ti = black or gray
Te = maybe orange?
Fi = purple (darker shade)
Fe = a mix of colors?

But I'm not really sure, some of them are hard to "see." It's just one of those things that I caught myself doing.

I've always seen Ne as green as well. But Te is black, Si is black and yellow, and Se is green and yellow. Fi is pink, Fe is purple.

Haha, this is a nice discussion.

I definitely don't see Fi as pink. I meant a bluish-purple. Fe might also be kind of purplish. Se is like a still-shot of real-life, but caught in a blur, and somehow, it still seems to look reddish. Te definitely looks gritty, like sandpaper texture, even though that's not its most important feature.

I don't know... I always thought of Fi being pink. :D By the way, what theory is this based on? I think it would be interesting to make this a topic and ask what others think what colours represent what functions.

What theory? None really, just the image of each function that I've come to have in my head. I was thinking about it, but the thread probably wouldn't go anywhere.

When I'm done with final exams this semester, I think I'll draw pictures of what it looks like to me. Then I'll try to talk my sister into letting me use her scanner.

Update: I see Ne as more yellowish now.

I still don't know what to make of Fe...I guess light purple, as opposed to Fi's dark purple to almost black.

The Ni is more glowing and iridescent now, and less focus on the blue, but still "blue", yes.

Ti is more of a steel grey, and not much black.

Te is pretty surely orange, for whatever reason.

The rest are the same.
