I actually did one of the things on my list and didn't realize it till afterward!
Last night I had my measurements taken for a custom corset - the base fabric is black, with gunmetal silver piping and silver embellishments (eyeholes, fasteners in front), and a sweetheart neckline. It is something made only for me - to my exact measurements, to my tastes and preferences, which makes it as personal as a tattoo. I'm also having a couple of camisoles made, meaning custom shirts to go underneath it, which will give variety and look awesome.
But I figured out what my personal style is and am on my way to expressing it! It is a bit hard to achieve, but I know what I look good in and what I enjoy wearing:
Part motorcycle gear and cargo pants, part corsets and dangly earrings. Black, silver and blue.
So simple, but becoming comfortable with what I have and look like was quite a task! I found out I have a 29" natural waistline... so much smaller than I perceived myself to be. I prefer function to form, but what I do will have both and be all the more enjoyable for it.
It may be silly to some, but small, personal revelations still feed my desire to live.
So today, after this, I am happy. I am turning myself into a work of art and loving it.
