The wonderful Speed Gavroche passed these on to me on another thread, from an outside source and I thought with the Enneagrams and Instincts thing, it might be quite fun to match them up to the characters. To lunalove, if you don't want this instincts stuff on your thread please let me know and I'll get it moved, I wouldn't want you to think I was disrespecting your thread space, and I'm truly sorry if you do think this.
Here are the 'mantras:'

Can't you just imagine him throwing some epic dungeon parties though, where everyone there just gets wrecked on some trippy potions in the same group as LSD? Getting an invite would be like being part of the Illuminati but a bit less scary. Completely out of character but fun though. Joking aside, does Snape really have a Seven wing?

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from with most of those I guess, apart from maybe Peter and Remus sharing instinctual variants. I dunno, somehow Peter's motivation seems very different to his friend's.

Peter thought: 'I'm scared of Voldy and his power, but I want some all the same.I'm gonna betray my friends because I wanna be in with the Death-Eating society, have some acclaim and generally save my own life. Sounds like warped sp/so.

Remus thought: I have to leave my wife/child because they're better off not having (warped) society think they're awful and outcasting them. I can't believe I could have passed on my affliction to my baby, how horrible am I? They're both gonna deservedly (no) hate me.' Sounds like warped sx/so.

I dunno, that could all be inaccurate, cause it's only a reading of characters, after all.

8w9s are subtly manipulative (think Palpatine), which Snape isn't -- he's just a domineering asshole, which is more of an 8w7 tendency. Though he could plausibly be 8 Omni...

Sirius is just depressed and withdrawn, broken, after his stint in Azkaban. Behaves like a typical grumpy ENFP (or even INFP, but he hates being alone). In his teenage years he was more of a 7w8 -- obsessed with crazy fun, hyperactive, directive, confident.
