Watched S1E2.
I think it was unclear throughout the first season whether Abigail was complicit in her father's crimes -- at least it seemed to be a question. In the end, I think we discovered that she was the "bait" for the girls, she would befriend them and bring them within range of her father, who then did to them whatever he had planned.
In this episode, Jack pretty much floats all this to Will in the beginning. "She'd make a great bait, Will -- a lure." Will denies it as a possibility, he insists the killer acted alone. In a sense, they're both right (I don't think Abby ever killed anyone, did she? My memory is foggy.) But I wanted to note that Jack, the EST, had her pegged correctly before it all became confusing with Will's becoming too enmeshed with Hannibal.
Also of interest -- Beverly Katz' engaging Will especially on the shooting range. She was a great character, one of her strengths being her self-confidence and forthrightness. She just walks into Will's world unapologetically, even breaks his body space to improve his shooting stance (successfully). She's inquisitive and she doesn't back down, but she's not necessarily hostile, she seems to take delight in engaging and being challenged herself. You know where you stand with Katz. Her two male compatriots don't seem nearly as forward.
But... that has an obvious bearing on her future and theirs.
Be sure to rewatch that in blu ray.
Hannibal is like a master painter, with style, finesse, delicate line work. Every dot is considered, every line consciously thought through. Of him it is said, "This is by design."
The Mountain is like the amateur Jackson Pollack wannabe of splatterpaint.
(Or, maybe a more apt analogy, the Gallagher.)
I will note that maybe the similarity between GoT and Hannibal is that both have balls, no one is safe. As bad as S4E8 of GoT was, the season 2 finale to Hannibal leaves four cast members precariously poised between life and death, while the devil not only lives to fight another day but might even be a-courtin', nonny nonny -- it is not what we expected or hoped for.
