I usually find it easier to have male friends, because they seem friendlier. Girls seem to be nervous around me, or I'm nervous around them. Guys are more likely to talk to me and be engaging. Weirdly, I feel kind of like we're more alike on one level, and I'm more like girls on another. I would feel comfortable saying hi to a guy I'd only seen once before, whereas I'd be afraid the girl would be wondering why I'm talking to her.

Also guys seem to like talking about ideas more, have more ideas, and are more confident about them. That's what I'm interested in talking about. Touchy feely stuff is harder to navigate, and usually bores me.
