So I had to get up super early this morning for a second interview/training session to be a part-time live-in caretaker for a quadrapelegic. I know that sounds dramatic, but this individual sustained his injuries many years ago and has more control over some things than other people I've observed in his condition. Two of us live there, one taking morning and the other taking night, working only about 2-3 hrs a day in exchange for free room and utilities. It frees up time to do other work, and is in the area where I want to reside, so I hope I get it. I think it will be good for me.
So when I woke up I was in the middle of dreaming I was looking at Google and you know how they change the format every day or so? Well this one had a picture of some medieval looking dude and said "ancient evolution." Then I clicked on it and some Monty Python-esque skit begins, showing a European medieval guy in the market place, with a voice over, making humorous observations that he was not entirely unlike today's postmodern, post industrial capitalist surly low paid store clerk. I guess the point was people havent really evolved inherently since the medieval period, though the technology has advanced?
Then I dreamed I had some kind of long slender black flashlight with a clear flame-shaped bulb on the end instead of a flashlight head, and at the bottom it plugged into the wall, like a lamp, but it my dream it was more like a usb drive and you could plug it into the wall and somehow obtain information. I knew that it contained information about someone I thought I knew, a man who I loved and trusted, and what was on it made me feel disappointment and sadness. I plugged it in in a hallway under a staircase, not into a computer. When I woke up I realized I dont even have anyone like that in my life like that (the ISxJ and I aren't that close...yet?) and so I figure maybe it referred to my disappointment in JTG. But I realized today I feel totally over that, like I let him go completely without resentment, so maybe the dream was a form of closure.
In other news, the LA marathon turns things into a fucking maze. I had to cross right through it today on foot, lol.
