In Spring of 2010, as soon as the snow melts on the pass separating Oregon and California, I begin my adventure out of home and into the world. I will most likely head out of Tacoma, WA and essentially travel counter-clockwise around the outer states occasionally making dashes into the heartland.
I've decided I want to attend some music and culture festivals along the way. I figure it will be something to look forward to and plan around. I also love music, food, and those interesting people always show up to these things.
I'll be doing much research on this but if you have any suggestions and advice please let me know.
Considering I will be homeless and penniless I should prepare beforehand with as much thoroughness of research and thought as I anticipate the frequency of adaptation.
While there is some fear of hopping a train, it will mostly likely turn out to be rather easy compared to acquiring food which I have no anxiety over but will certainly prove to be more vital, pressing, and regular. I will work for my food whenever possible, and will never steel from another person or honest business. I have never stolen a thing in my life but to be honest with my future circumstances I have decided that I have no moral qualms with steeling from cooperate chain companies such as Walmart, Walgreens and RiteAid for basic necessities. It's not wrong, or even unfortunate. It just is.
Below I have listed durable, light, and sturdy foods that don't require cooking.
