And I thought ahead (gasp) and made categories. Last time I had a forum blog, I just randomly posted things. And then the forum got shut down, but it was all good.
We had an art trip today. Semi interesting. My crap art teacher had to ruin it by making us do an assignment while viewing the artwork, so that sucked. We had to draw, in detail, four different figurines. Not very easy. There weren't any benches, seats, or tables in the stupid Gardiner Museum of Craft or whatever it's called either, so we had to lean against either a)the wall, or b)the glass. The security guard also warned us that we are not supposed to lean against the wall or the floor because we might make dents (we're freakin' fourteen, how do we have the physical capacity to make dents in the wall?) in the wall/glass, so our only option was to draw on the floor, and keep standing up and crouching down in order to draw. Man, it was annoying. I got two very badly drawn figures in, but I think I did a great job on the Chinese guy's face. He was riding a tiger.
We had a five minute lunch. I crammed in a sandwich, and took in the sights of Toronto. Ain't as cool as New York, if you ask me. No rush hour crowds.
Next, we headed on over to the Bata Shoe Museum. It was pretty cool, because it has one of my favourites--shoes in it. The annoying part was that there were these bunch of old ladies who took so long to get out the door that it took an eternity to go to all the floors (they were ahead of us). It was pretty easy to draw all the shoes, because most of the exhibits were on the ground floor and they had benches for people to sit on (shaped like shoes, lol) and you could sit next to the display. They also didn't have a security guard on each level, thank god.
I picked the Japanese Pokkuri (the easiest shoe to draw, and thanks to my anime/manga experience, I know what they are used for) which is a shoe made primarily for girls and women, worn in special occasions.
After that, we got on the bus and went back to school. I still had half my lunch remaining, and my stomach was hurting. We still had to go to 5th period (last period), which luckily, is art for me. Our teacher made us draw a title page about our day, and we had to write our most interesting experiences. I wrote that I saw Napoleon's socks.
And that was the end to my 'exciting' day. School won't change tomorrow, sadly.
