First day of college

I had three people from my old school in my new form, which was nice I haven't met anyone in any of my classes yet, which I'm nervous about, because I really just want to find my future friendship group and settle in. The people in my form seem mostly really nice! There's one girl who's a bit up herself, but that can't be helped.

I can't get over the huge numbers of people... I think there's something near 900 people starting this year, and the same in upper sixth (who weren't even there today) and it's all just overwhelming, so many strange faces and it's so big with no apparent order to where all the buildings are, I can find my way into the college but finding my way out is more challenging xD

I actually really scared about tomorrow. Unlike today, this time I'll no one there next to me who I know, I'll have to find all my classes and be all extraverty to the people in them

So how's it going now that you've had a couple of days to adjust?

It's really good! I've met a load of new people, and despite my initial shyness there are several people I didn't know a week ago who would now make a point of coming over to me and saying hi and I met someone in my psychology class who lives on the road next to mine and we had never even seen eachother before!

The school itself actually reminds me a lot of Hogwarts ^^ loads of old, posh, almost gothic buildings. My favourite place is this quiet little platform type thing above the library right at teh top of the tallest building so you can see all the roofy bits and this massive, v pretty window at teh end

The best thing about college is definately getting free periods. On Mondays, I have the two last lessons free, so today I just wandered off at lunch and went shopping (and got a tenth piercing in my ear) and it was just bliss... I'm free at last!
