I had created another test!
This one is a deeper E/I, with more indirect question and an alternative theory that includes Repressed Extravert and Social Introvert.

The complete theory is on the spoiler, only read it after you take the test.

There are multiple views on Extraversion and Introversion. I had united them for the test, but its good to resume the main ones:
1) Extroversion is how you relate to people: If you like to go to parties, enjoy socializing, enjoy crowds, etc.. you are an Extravert, otherwise you are an introvert.
2) Extroversion is about being externally oriented, if you are oriented and ‘stimulated’ by the environment, then you are an extravert, if you are internally oriented, you are an introvert.
3) If you gather ‘energy’ from the outer environment and is energized by relationships with others (or by external stuff) you are an extravert, if you gather ‘energy’ from being alone (or by internal), you are an introvert.
The general theory on this test uses a split into Extraversion vs Introversion:
1) Environment-Immune factors: The traits where an Extravert or Introvert are supposed to have despite what happened in their life story and environment (‘whatever the weather, rainy or sunny, she/he is like that’).
2) Environment non-Immune factors: Traits where an Extravert or Introvert can quite potentially change depending on what happens, for example, if the person is bullied.
3) Environmental factors: Environment factors that impact on Extroversion or Introversion. For example, if you are way too intelligent or way too less intelligent compared with people around you, your level of Extraversion will drop.
4) Positive-Negative emotions: You do expect that a repressed Extravert to have negative emotions due to the repression. And to an over-stimulated Introvert to have positive emotions, because a good bunch of positive environmental factors does lead to more positive emotions (actually, this is controversial, so for the test I had neutralized the over-stimulated Introvert). A good base for this, and I used on the test, is Big Five IPIP NEO Cheerfulness (Extraversion facet) VS Depression (Neuroticism facet). Even questions on these form opposites, like “I radiate joy†VS “I feel blueâ€.
An ambivert is a person who is neither introvert or extrovert, but rather a mix of both. Ambiverts are more common than introvert or extrovert, as I had deducted and stated here:

A repressed Extravert is basically someone who have a demand to be extrovert but cannot have this demand met due to environmental factors getting in the way. Bullying is the easiest and not that much controversial possible cause. An over-stimulated Introvert is someone who has a natural preference for introversion, but which life activities and external factors aligned in a so much positive way that socializing is made not only easy but is very stimulated.
The concept of repressed Extravert or social Introvert is old on MBTI community. Also, there is the Big Five, where Positive Emotions (or Cheerfulness) is a facet of Extraversion instead of Neuroticism. A lot of people out there, perhaps even on psychology, supports the idea that human beings are super social and like we always need people, and some of them might have data backing up that Extraverts are more positive and joyful than introverts (Big Five probably grouped positive emotions with Extroversion to that), building an idea that everyone should be an Extravert in their way to happiness. What happened to my mind (and partially bring to creating these set of ideas) is that a repressed Extravert should be unhappy by (yeah, by and not with) the environment, but the ‘repressed’ Introvert should mostly be the opposite, because the ‘repressed’ introvert should got out of introversion due to a high incentive of the environment. Dont take me wrong, although: Some introverts might be unhappy with this over-stimulation, but in average they should not be, because, otherwise, there would be no findings that Extraversion relates to positive emotions. So, very likely the ‘repressed’ Introvert is environment stimulated in positive ways, and, in fact, for a negative factor for the repressed Extraversion, its opposite is positive and stimulates Extraversion on Individual. For example, the opposite of Bullying would be very much appreciated and very well-received, and, if Bullying decreases Extraversion, its opposite should increase Introversion, if Bullying decreases positive emotions, its opposite should increase positive emotions, and, at least for Bullying, there is a more Extraversion→ more positive emotions, which leads to the connection that stimulated Big Five to put positive emotions under extraversion instead of neuroticism. So, basically:
- Introvert
+ Immune LOW
+ Environment F. LOW OR MED
+ Positive Emo. ANY
+ Non-Immune LOW
- Ambivert
+ Immune MED
+ Environment F. ANY
+ Positive Emo. ANY
+ Non-Immune MED
- Extrovert
+ Immune HIGH
+ Environment F. MED OR HIGH
+ Positive Emo. ANY
+ Non-Immune HIGH
- Repressed Extrovert
+ Immune HIGH
+ Environment F. LOW
+ Positive Emo. LOW
+ Non-Immune LOW
- Over-stimulated Introvert
+ Immune LOW
+ Environment F HIGH
+ Positive Emo. ANY
+ Non-Immune HIGH
Its possible to be a mix of some, so the division is important: Pure personality (environment immune) E/I, Environmental factors for E/I, Positive Emotions and non-pure personality E/I (not environmental immune E/I). Indeed, however, pure personality E/I is almost difficult to be tracked, almost an ideal. I just hope the questions I used for that are really proper (its more or less impossible to track these).
I need to say that this is a theory, and on the test I was kind of subjective in multiple stuff. Multiple stuff was my interpretation. So, none of this is completely solid, good to warn! About that, it is good that my list for environment factors are:
- Income: There is search on MBTI and Big Five (here) that relates Extraversion to income, I am interpretating for here the results as ‘More income causes extraversion’ rather than ‘More extraversion causes more income’. My best guess is that it is a mix of both.
- Social prestige: The reverse of it is basically an aspect of Bullying, so, more social prestige, easier time socializing, more stimulation.
- IQ: I cant quote the source because I had lost a long ago, but in a MBTI research, it has been found that the highest concentration of Extravert types was in the middle IQ zone, rather on the most intelligent or most unintelligent zone, and I my interpretation on that is: The more closely to your own IQ people around you are, easier and more stimulating socializing will be.
- Activity/Profession: This belongs more to Jung Persona theory, and, basically, if your profession put yourself to socialize more, you will socialize more regardless of your natural preferences. Its true that some people had selected their own profession, but it isnt true that people always select profession that aligns with that department, because there are other bunch of factors to consider while selecting profession.
- ‘Similarness’: The more similar people are to you, same mindset, etc.. The easier will be to create bridges and socialize connections. The more different, harder and more troubled will be to build the relation. I base on this because I had searched on MBTI and best friends and I had found out that, usually, the top 3 best friend list is usually someone from the same type or a cousin type. Generally, the best friend of a certain MBTI type is one of the cousins (except the sensing/intuitive cousin).
- Bullying: I had put it on this factor, although it might not be directly an environment factor. I would extend to say that some traumas does count for a higher introversion.
Since this is subjective, none of this is the ultimate indicator for repressed Extroversion or over-stimulated Introversion, but Im likely one of the first persons to create some concepts and things to consider for detection to this.
PS: “What do I use on MBTI code if I am repressed Extravert or over-stimulated Introvert?†Good question, I have no idea.
