The Cat in the Hat movie. Ugh. I still liked it, but even then it was just so deep in the uncanny valley for me. Something about that purple goop floating around as that eerie music plays, and then it sucks Sally into the abyss. They even made cupcakes terrifying, more of that grody purple goop. Flames shooting out of the toilet as they ride Mrs. Kwan down the river, sputtering in the purple liquid. The warped, discombobulated room thanks to the mother of all messes. The color palette of that washed out green and mustard yellow and chrysanthemum pink. And of course, the Cat in the Hat himself-I imagine that costume smelling of B.O and all sorts of bodily fluids. I hated when his shaven arse was hanging out of his pants and then he rips one and was all, "huhuh sorry". I can't believe I liked that movie so much, it might have been uncanny valley but I still found it hilarious and didn't see it as nasty as I do today. It was the OG introduction to personality tests though-"You're a control freak, and you're a rule breaker."
