I think I'm going to do this, just to get stuff out.
How does this work?
So I met this person who is in my class for Radar Repairer (I'm in the US Army). We became friends or at least I decided he was. One day the sergeant wanted me to be the class leader for all the classes; I didn't want to do it because I don't give a shit about DNC ceremony shit. So I let him do it and he became class leader. Now there's all these rules under TRADOC and we aren't supposed to have energy drinks and such, though everyone breaks the rules to an extent, although I usually try to follow the rules because I know it will be less agitation in the long run.
So one day, I didn't get much sleep because I got the worst night shit for fireguard. So I mixed caffeine and an energy drink and put it in the camelback I got issued; he saw it and being class leader felt he should tell a sergeant or it would make him look bad. He didn't do it, but it seemed hypocritical that now it mattered just because he had a leadership position that he should treat me differently. Everyone thought he was being a dick, so he told everyone not to talk to him. I decided not to talk to him anymore either. Then one day he says he forgives everyone, including me, and tries to get everyone together. So I stop hanging around the people in my class because he's there. I think he knows I'm not his friend anymore.
But I'm so surprised that this happened because he got a leadership position, that suddenly he had to be different. I guess that means if I get a leadership position, I should keep it in order to keep other people from taking themselves to seriously and being dicks to everyone.
