a vision of Jesus

Last night, I went to a concert by Mercy Me. I had a hard time being there because of the loudness of the music. It's still hard to endure some things because of the grief I've been feeling over my husband's death.

Anyhow, when they were playing "I Can Only Imagine" and singing the chorus... "Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel, Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still, Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall, Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all, I can only imagine"... in my imagination there came a vision of me up in heaven and Jesus was there. He was hugging me... and I felt like He was telling me that I'm not going to dance or kneel or sing because there's not going to be any distance between us at all! And as I continued to enjoy the picture in my mind, I felt filled up to overflowing with God's Love.

This morning when I woke up, it was the first thing I thought of and the feeling of being loved in such a cherished way continued with me.

I love it when I get visions like that. They encourage me.

That's awesome. I have had similar moments where it seems like God knew I needed a more direct little sign of encouragement. Sometimes it feels lonely here on Earth. Feels like we are so far away from God and what lies beyond our understanding. We need reminders that all of space is no distance at all to Him. Keep hangin in there, babe.
