Why did Luke slip and fall off the thingy in Empire Strikes Back? He was not being reasonable, I'm sure he could have worked it out with Vader.

Plot hole - This one should be famous by now. In The Matrix movie, Cypher should not have been able to enter the matrix without being observed by a partner in the real world. But apparently he did because he offered to sell the codes to Agent Smith in the matrix. If his real world partner (such as Link) had seen that he would have pulled the plug on him.

Secretly? That's not possible.

"Edward likes to sculpt ice to pass the time since he's totally alone. But woah, hang on. Edward's friendless, and unable to grip anything - so how did he get the ice? It's not like he can order it online."

It is a technical story-line issue, but not a plot-hole because how the ice was delivered is not essential to the plot.

It is not impossible for ice to be delivered to Edward. But it is impossible to enter the matrix without a partner watching over you.
