Rumor is that the Trump Presidential Library will be located within the Fantasy Island Adult Bookstore, next to the “Four Seasons”

Apparently the voter fraud hotline is getting pranked with calls mocking Trump over Biden’s win.

'This isn't over!': Trump supporters refuse to accept defeat

Yeah, okay dudes... they can sleep outside, I'm going to slumber in my nice, comfortable, happy bed and dream lovely happy dreams.

---

I watched the addesses on FB video tonight. I was laughing at much of it because I could see the comments scroll by like mad, along with a huge flood of heart occasionally punctuated by either a blue Like (who hadn't gotten the message -- you gotta HEART this!) or an Angry face, and then there were a number of Trumpian troll types say the most awful but stupid shit possible

"An Asian-American leader? They can't even drive cars, let alone a country!"
"Think of all those beautiful babies these two are gonna murder!"
"The election results are a fraud, this isn't over yet!"

And then three zillion comments by all the Biden folks slapping them down and beating the trolls senseless. OMG. I just couldn't stop laughing at the variety of Comment content that was flying by.

:rotfl:

you believe that shit?

I mean, I didn't know what to make of it when the tweets came earlier today. Like, why are people talking about the Four Seasons?

But yes, apparently instead of booking the Four Seasons high-end hotel, some campaign moron accidentally booked a landscaping shop near an adult bookstore and a crematorium. So then they had to give this official serious press conference in a ludicrous insignificant location.

The guy starts his campaign by coming down a ritzy escalator in a tall fancy building named after himself, and it ends outside a landscaping shop.

This really felt like something off a TV sitcom... but even crueler.

I read earlier in the week they (and I mean the voter fraud hotline set up by the Trump campaign / administration) were getting swamped by lots of people reporting Trump's attempts to suppress the vote counting.

Not picking sides but, in 2000 Al Gore was called as president elect, and then 37 days later it was contested and Bush became our president.

It was depressing four years ago. The day I closed on my house (which should have been a happy day) was the day he was inaugurated.

Like, literally I signed off on my house, then took myself out to lunch as a treat to celebrate, and was subject to television footage of the debacle.

My son asked me tonight if I wanted to go to the inauguration in two months. I would love to, but with COVID I don't even know what will be prudent or possible. I don't even know if the metros would be running. And all those people in proximity? I dunno. But I would have liked to go.

I remember that happening. First election I voted in. It was contested pretty much out of the gate.
I’m not going to sit here and say it’s impossible but bush vs gore hinged on one state. The EC split 271 to 266.
GA is going to be recounted and PA will be audited, but as it stands with the EC should have Biden at 306. Nowhere near as close as the 2000 election.

Basically it was JUST down to Florida, if I recall. The winner of the state took everything.

Bush was ahead and was going to be called, but then the tally got down to 700 votes, and networks then ended up going back and forth in the wee hours of the morning, calling and retracting their sense of the winner, until finally everyone threw in the towel.

There's not really any close/disputed calls this time that would flip the result, even if Biden would lose a state. So that's why the networks went with it all.

Doesn't mean they won't try, is all I'm saying.

That's true.

I'm just not sure what legal basis they'd have to stand on, especially if they come up with no viable evidence.

Even with the SCOTUS order to lay aside the votes that came in after election day but before Friday night (for PA, at least) -- PA was already doing that and they hadn't been tallied into the official count.

Maybe they can find evidence on Hunter Biden's laptop.

Pretty much.

Trump had to win AZ, NC, NV, PA and GA to win. He couldn’t lose any of them.
The margin here is much wider than in 2000.
Heck, Hillary lost by a much much smaller margin.

I fully expect them to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. But, as it stands. I don’t see much sticking.

Absolutely not. Not now, not ever. You think a single right winger would entertain the thought if roles were reversed? Nuh-huh.

The nice thing about state charges are that it's the perfect opt out for Biden. NY state also has "enterprise corruption", which is their own version of RICO.

But uhh..greatest economy of all time and the amazing work in the Middle East....some other incredibly gullible shit.

Guys, we have to be gracious winners. So what if Donald Trump lost? The important thing is that we unite as Americans.

I was impressed by the speeches tonight. Really great job. I have to say though, I was worried for their safety, outdoors.

I hope we move on and move forward. My SO, on the other hand, wants payback in the form of certain ppl investigated and jailed for treason. I can understand the resentment.

People cant understand that I dislike Trump so much and I'm pleased by his defeat but still want to see Biden defeated by some alternative later in the future, not a right wing alternative but some sort of democrat successor who is more like Bernie, it is not even to do with the likely economic and social policy so much as its about Biden himself.

I've seen a lot of concerning stuff about him in the last few days and I dont think its all propaganda. I just hate so much that this guy was considered the alternative to Trump. I'm pretty sure that Biden would not have won if he were running against an earlier alternative Republican candidate, such as Bush, maybe there's a lesson in that for the GOP. Chasing the populist vote they lost enough of the floating voters or middle to lose the actual election.

I wonder now too if the GOP will regroup and rethink or if they will become some sort of personality cult around Trump as many of his supporters on main street seem to be becoming.

I do think that public office is going to have to stop being used as a means to evade prosecutions or legal consequences, which is what I think Trump used it as, I think that is definitely and issue and if its not tax evasion and corruption, as in the case of Trump, I think it could be other sorts of misconduct that make public office attractive.

It was definitely never, ever meant to be like that, definitely not in the republican democracy that the US was meant to be.
