Recently i've been obsessed with Kayo Dot, particularly the song The manifold curiosity. I haven't felt such a strong emotional/physical reaction to music since i first heard "The black saint & the sinner lady" by Charles Mingus almost a decade ago. I like to play it ridiculously loud and kick and scream during the last couple of minutes as if my life depends on it. Seriously, this song is like a fucking exorcism to me.

Some people complain about more recent King Crimson material sounding "sterile" or "mechanical". I agree. But a 500-foot titanium alloy Godzilla-trampling robot that farts lasers is also sterile and mechanical. I don't see their point at all, this kicks so much ass it's not even funny. So what if it's sterile... at least it doesn't have fucking mellotron in it.
