There is probably a thread for this already, but it would take a lot of time to find it. Anyway, the point of this thread: think of each type, and then think of a member or members who seem to match up with that type very well, enough so that they could be an example for the type. Like...if you needed a good example of an INFP, you could point to that member as an example. Make sense?

I know this is the MBTI forum, but it's kind of a mix of Enne/MB.

Despite not really knowing you, it is evident your Si is strong.
In the absence of counterclaims and by the powers invested in me by yourself (no conflict of interest, don't be silly) I hereby declare you as the living embodiment of all that is ISTJ and ask you to help me with my taxes.

How much money will you give me after doing your taxes? (you know you're an entp when you ask an 18 year old to do your taxes).

It's so funny you mention these two members together since I recall, 21lux made a thread nearly identical to this one not too too long ago. The two ISFJs that embody the same type, make the same thread lol.

I couldn't be bothered to think of my own so I just decided to complete yours with my own choices :D

I try to be careful about thinking who "embodies" a type because it can lead to having a more restricted view of a certain type if you grow too attached to a certain caricature

I can't fill them all, but this is what I got. The people who I think are really good (i.e. positive) representations of their types, and am also quite certain of their typing. I also did not make duplicates for people whom I thought could fill 2 categories.

Everybody is absolutely unique. You are right. We can't all fit in a box and that's the beauty of human nature. It is especially hard to be an INFJ because, on top of feeling alone due to rarity, we have many different people and sources that think what an INFJ may be like in real life, and be completely off the mark. I suppose not enough research has gone into the INFJ as opposed, say, the ever popular INFP or ESTJ. Everybody seems to be talking about them much more, ha ha!

I see what you're saying but INFJ is easily arguably the most talked about type at least on the Internet.

I think INFP's are also misrepresented too.
What ways can you see research go on in this type?

Just about every type description is a little off.

You got 21lux going on SJ stereotype hate
SP's show up very little here. Ily Masokissed
NP's who says Fi is misunderstood.
And NJ's obviously saying we're not psychics.
