~ Epic classic rock anthems (think Allman Brothers and the Outlaws and Styx, et al)
~Intense, upbeat electronic music that also has kind of emo-atmospheric undertones, and usually lyrics (Crystal Castles, Ladytron, Lights Over L.A. and Deadmou5 remixes of other people's songs PLUS 80's electronic synth pop like Depeche Mode, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, et al)
~ Emotionally intense music with a blend of harmony and intense percussion, like emotional hardcore, alternative and metal ballads. Too many to name. (Stuff ranging from 30 Seconds to Mars to Tori Amos' "Caught a Lite Sneeze" to love songs by Stabbing Westward and Skid Row...)
My taste in music is really much too ecclectic to even properly name what genre moves me, but there has to be a blend of emotional and musical intensity, usually.
