Hello.
So I've decided it's really important for me to accurately type my soon-to-be ex-husband so that I may better understand where things went wrong with us. Although I have an opinion on his type, I'm not 100% convinced.
First of all, I am positive he is an introvert. No question at all there.
The other three dichotomies I'll leave to your consideration.
His interests:
His career
We were together for 9 years. Until 3 years ago, he had extreme difficulty finding work that he could tolerate. When we'd argue over him getting a job he said that I may as well blow his brains out than make him work. He finally found a job that not only can he tolerate, he likes! He is an Elections Specialist for our County. He maps precincts and otherwise organizes whatever else goes into elections (you can see, this is not my cup of tea!).
Around the house
Okay, I think that's plenty to get you guys rolling.

The other three dichotomies I'll leave to your consideration.
His interests:
- Being a D&D dungeon master. He is very gifted in this area. He will spend months preparing a very detailed campaign, taking into account all the directions we (the party) might take it. He draws out intricate dungeon maps.
- Baseball. He watches every Giants game.
- PC gaming. Hearts of Iron II, Eve Online. I would open his wallet and find meticulous post-it-notes outlining the order in which he planned on developing skills and at which time of day to switch skills. He could sit on Eve and mine all day, and would strategize as to when to sell his resources for maximum profit.
- Painting Warhammer and WWII miniatures. He has several hundred models that he meticulously painted, many of them the exact same models. He is also very gifted in this area.
- Reading novels. Chuck Palahniuk, Ernest Hemingway, Phillip K. Dick, the Dune series.
- Music. Listening to industrial metal (KMFDM, Ministry, Unjust, Fear Factory), The Doors.

- Nightly routine. He has a routine when he comes home. He goes straight to the bedroom, puts his keys and wallet in a bowl on the dresser, and changes and hangs up his clothes. He doesn't like to leave the house on weeknights, and only occasionally on weekends (and God knows whatever we're doing better be planned at least a week in advance!). He says he's too tired from his work week, and I do definitely see that he needs his alone time to recharge. Even on weekends, he goes to bed at the same time and only sleeps in maybe an hour more on weekend mornings.
- Chores. He always rinses his dishes when he's done. Laundry time is Sunday afternoon during the baseball game. When I first met him, he had Coke cans lined up like a fortress around his computer. I think I out-messed him, and drove him to want to be neater. lol
- Food. If we went out to a restaurant, he would get the same one or two things, always. If he had a bad experience at a restaurant, even if his prior experiences were pleasant, he would never want to eat there again.
- I always felt like I was talking to a wall. When I'd say how I felt, he'd say, "I'm sorry you feel that way, beyondaurora" "whatever, beyondaurora". And my pushing and pushing trying to get more from him which would inevitably bring him to the point of extreme anger, mocking and criticizing me. He never wanted to talk about our future life, children, traveling, whatever. He'd always say, "we'll talk about that when the time comes".
- He calls his parents by their first names, and they're okay with that.
- He's very opinionated about people. For example, any teenage girl is an airhead slut. He has no tolerance for anyone who is not as intelligent and responsible as he.
- Getting him to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, etc. is like pulling teeth. Although in our last year of marriage he finally almost enjoyed decorating our Christmas tree, this year, now that we're apart, he bought a metal Festivus pole (for the airing of grievances - from Seinfeld).
Okay, I think that's plenty to get you guys rolling.
