So do you just deal or expect the world to change to accommodate you?
I expect, and sometimes even insist upon, the occasional accommodation, but mostly just go my own way. I find a few compatible people here and there and focus on them, and don't worry about the rest. It is actually only when I have occasion to associate with other folks that I feel that sense of not belonging. It is not bothersome to be on my own.

Place yourself in environments you can tolerate, ideally ones you can also enjoy. I doubt the sensor thing is even that true.... I don't think it is a sensor world... I think areas are more sensorish... others are more n wish... neither is 'better' but both may find themselves fish outta water if surrounded by others they can not communicate with... that being said many people can and do manage it.... socionics even pairs people into N+S for relationships... so theres that... maybe a change of attitude could help.
Why, then, all the Sensors I know have a job, an I, as a NT don't.
The answers:
A: The Sensors are suitable
B: The NTs are competent
C: The Sensors are less competent, but suitable
D: The NTs are more competent, but less suitable
E: The Society is oportunistic, and hypocritic
F: The Sensors are majority. Just like Japanese in Japan where all The Others are 'Gaijin'*

I have an NT boss. He is not more competent. He applies concepts based on past corrolation and i have to fine tune it to current reality because he is missing large holes based on reality.

My NT director i blew off because he was going down wild goose chases based on input from others.

I have worked with many NTs i enjoy. Its hit or miss based on the person. The person i work with right now driving me the most nuts is an ESTJ. The guy is conceptually inept. Most other ESTJs i know are not as good conceptually, but they dont sit in it as if they know. They utilize their strength, not weakness. I believe our CEO is ESTJ and he is awesome at his job. For most its when stressed that it comes out. He lives it and makes him look like a moron. Enjoy the other 3 Ns on my team.

To tell you the truth this indicates more that you have a problem with mainstream and shallow people than Sensors by definition. Sure, most of such people are Sensors but I don't see why you shouldn't pinpoint the problem more exactly.

Preface: Not having a job sucks. It's not a sin or a sign of failure to not have a job. There are near-infinite reasons for joblessness. And sometimes society IS to blame.

"I don't have a job, and Sensors do, therefore Sensor society is to blame"?

Firstly, I am surprised to say that there are actual stats that prove you wrong on this.

Personality type most likely to be unemployed - Business Insider

Secondly, I am a Sensor who has recently been involved in hiring processes for my subordinates. Here is a list of factors that have more to do with getting a job than anything you're describing:
- Do they have enough experience?
- Are they fast learners?
- Do they interview well?
- Are they ambitious? If yes, are their ambitions related to a higher-ranked version of the position to which they are applying? If not, are they passionate about the job to which they are applying?

If you are more competent, then I'm going to hire you. Suitability is less important than your ability to do the job well. Most employers think this way.

I once walking through the forest. A tree fell right in front of me, and, I didn't hear it

This is such an applicable metaphor for you and this thread.

You cannot conclude from that that it made no sound.

People walk through subways with world renown musicians playing and they dont even realize something is playing.

Not everyone is always connected to the world around them. Only issue is when they dont realize this and turn i dont know into...extraverting an internal perception as fact stubbornly.

Basically INSISTING he wasnt there.

I knew the ISFPs would have the highest unemployment rate. I feel so much love for my type right now.

How? What's up with ISFPs?

(I guess I have an explanation now as to why I didn't have my first job until age 21...)

No words for how good it is to hear this for once. Then again, from your profile, aren't you a Millennial?

Yes indeed -- turning 26 this Sunday. :)

though if you asked prplchknz, I'm actually a grandma.

I mostly just expected it because I had a feeling. Also, I think the Fi-Se combination makes many jobs and even college a huge challenge for ISFPs.

I say so because I would expect this generation to be more sympathetic towards joblessness. It seems it's usually Baby Boomers/older people in general who express utter contempt for 20-somethings being on benefits or living with parents instead of being 100% self-sufficient, or who go on the whole "You don't have a job because you don't want to take responsibility and be an adult, and just want to blame everyone else instead of working hard!â„¢ and be a lazy, entitled manchild pussy forever" spiel. At best you get older, 30-something millennials making these claims, but when they do they're at least trying to be helpful and throwing in tips.

There are 30-something year old millennials? I thought the oldest of us weren't any older than late twenties.

I think Gen-Xers would be understanding about it as well. Lord knows I've never had a full-time job, no retirement, etc. etc. Somehow I manage at least barely. For me I don't think it has anything to do with MBTI functions. For me it's a long story and partly because of my personality, but not a categorical problem, although it is a career choice problem. (edit: although I have seen the career I'm in be very damaging to the Fi-doms I know, but that is the only MBTI element I notice)

I'm in GenX, and am sort of in-between. I would say it's not always a sign of failure (I don't think of anything in terms of sin), and often society is to blame. At least society often doesn't make it easy. Still, I know plenty of people who have had periods of joblessness, sometimes protracted, and seem to sabotage their own efforts through ineffective job hunting methods, being overly picky, stupid things like DUIs on their record, etc. Sometimes you can afford to be picky, say, if your partner has a really good job, or you are reasonably wealthy, or you have valuable niche skills and are sure it won't be long before the right opportunity comes up. Sometimes, though, you just need a job to pay the bills or support your family, even if it isn't what you prefer, and doesn't pay what you are used to. Then you work your way back up from there.
