The one I had in high school, but without the rigorous dieting and exercise. I'm willing to settle with something close to that. Something that says "I go hard at the gym, but I don't do crossfit, and I like beer".

Hmm, I am in some way with Hard on this one. I've tried to look better, and it works if one goes regularly and have discipline to go the gym for at least 6 months to see a difference. For me, working out is painful. And I can only do so much, compared to others who expect much more. My body looks like that of a spider, and my limbs as skinny as the spider (body type is closer to Ectomorph), I have no muscle. I guess if I have the motivation to go often, with someone that tells me what I should be doing on that day. Like a personal trainer. I would try it again, but I know myself. After a while I'll find excuses to not attend it. Then of course, there is the money thing that I have to pay.

so this is what the body test reports:

YOUR BODY IS BETWEEN AN
ECTOMORPH AND A MESOMORPH.
Ectomorph: You should concentrate on gaining weight in the form of good, lean muscle tissue. Weight training should be fairly heavy and done at a slower workout pace with longer rest periods between sets. Don't weight train too often or for too long per training session. Eat a diet high in quality foods, eat more than you're used to, and eat often. Keep aerobic activities to a minimum.

Mesomorph: You have a naturally fit body but, to maintain or improve it, you should adopt an exercise and diet regimen that compliments your build. You can strength train more often and for longer periods of time, but be careful not to overdo it. Train with moderate to heavy weighs and keep a moderate pace, making sure not to rest too long between sets. You'll find you gain muscle quite easily. Don't fear; you won't get "bulky." When you're happy with your muscle size, simply train to maintain. Stick to a good, healthy diet to stay lean and muscular, and watch for any slow-creeping fat gains. Engage in and enjoy aerobic activities, but be careful not to overdo it.

The body I had at 22 was adequate. I was slim but not at all muscular. If I could work out enough to attain that then I'd be content.

My current avatar minus the porn stache and dark hair is a good example.

My body right now or in any form. I wish it came from some place humble but I really like my body in a sexual way. I will feel this way now or 500 lbs from now, old and saggy boobed, etc. etc.

Also when I look in the mirror, I don't think in terms of what I do and don't like ... but more like the person looking back at me is me and I like that person. There's something inside me that I can see or something and I like it. So I really love myself regardless and like how I look because it's me.

A skinny sorta ice skater body, or gymnastics. I had quite an athletic bod from doing a lot of gym. Always had chunky legs (muscle rather than fat). Sometimes i used to wish I could have pin up legs... slim and long... but actually these legs stand me pretty well. I'd just like to be toned again as I like to be light on my feet and pirouette or cartwheel in the park. I'd quite like to do parkour actually. I don't think i'm too old for it if I can get back in proper shape... that would be awesome.

I want to have 56 pounds of muscle.

Alot of these bodies posted aren't reachable without doping such as Hugh Jackman or John Cena.

I feel lucky to already have a pretty malleable body, as in average in all dimensions with no particular problems or prominencies. It lets me choose my own visual focal points. A lot of people don't have as many options, so I don't dare take what I have for granted, and I take big punky risks with it because I can. I don't have a physical ideal so much as just moods, but I can handle that changeability.

If I could change anything permanently, I would be just plain mesomorphic instead of meso-ecto. I don't like the details that give a delicate impression of me, such as my lack of facial angularity and tiny wrists and hands, and would rather they were more moderate. Also, it sure would be nice for watch bands to ever fit me out of the box. :D I had to cut two new holes in the one I have to make it small enough.

Idk, I like to be light on my toes and have a good amount of stamina and strength. I suppose that is slim and slightly athletic. That tends to be my natural body type anyway. I probably should be around 20-22% body fat but am around 26%, I still have some to loose after my thyroid freak out.

The Ideal and Social Control

My father told me that there is nothing more dangerous than an idealist.

We can see this in religion where, for instance the idealised Catholic Church covered up child sexual abuse, and idealised Islam says it has no connection with terrorism, and in idealised Communism they were killing 100 million of their own people.

So having an idealised body is immensely damaging to our psyche.

An idealised body keeps us from our actual, living, warm body now. An idealised body stops us from attending to our bodily needs now. An idealised body stops us from enjoying our body now. Good heavens, an idealised body stops us from even liking our bodies.

And an idealised body stops us from liking the bodies of others.

An idealised body enables us to judge our own bodies and the bodies of others, rather than enjoy them.

But most important, an idealised body is the ideal form of social control.

Then not so much I suppose.

But you'd run into problems of sexual immorality and adultery.
