There are better things to do with your money than to pay for psuedoscientific fluff that doesn't even engage you in any way.
Well, but consider all the time I and so many others spend on here analyzing the types of ourselves and others. If time roughly translated to money, we'd be wasting a lot of it when we could just get typed by a professional and be done with it. Assuming that would work better, which most of us are not assuming...but you never know.
Mole, you and DJ Arendee are entitled to your debate. But I have to personally step in here because it's my thread; I think you are overreacting. Anyone is entitled to charge $30 for anything. The problem is when they claim to have credentials which they don't (and DJ Arendee is not doing this). That's what laws protect. I could sell you a bottle of water "charged with energy" and call it a potion, and if you want to buy it, no one is going to try to stop you by telling you you are gullible. And think about it, if you really wanted to, would you even want them to stop you?
Now I'm all about academia, and want to go into the field- but that doesn't mean I think only professors can know anything about philosophy, and only psychologists can make insights into personality. To the extent that something adheres to the scientific method, then academia is the proper realm for it- but many things really don't, including psychology. It was only recently that psychology took a turn toward behaviorism and physicalism, rejecting the notion of consciousness which is independent of the body, because they wanted to be "validated" by the scientific community- but the relation between mind and body is still in debate. Things which aren't strictly scientific are partly just based on opinion of the educated, and educated people can be anywhere.
I think this is a classic debate between Te and Ti, with Te over-relying on external validation. So please don't call people sociopaths because they don't share your view.
Also I'm guessing your Te is inferior, because this is exactly the kind of thing I've read about in my research on inferior functions, so I'm typing you as INFP.
