She was very suspicious of this "Tooth Fairy" father told her about. Her older brother told her about the black market a few days before her tooth came loose. It was a place where bad people sell bad things to other bad people. Sometimes they used fake names to hide their identities from the authorities. They even sold brains and kidneys!!!! What did this "Tooth Fairy" want with her teeth? Whatever amount of money this person gave her was not as much as they were going to sell it for. She wanted in on the profit.
That was a decade ago. It's 1999 now. She's the new girl in her high school now, a 15 year old freshmen. Ciel is very quiet and ever so observant. Ciel's eating and reading a book by herself. Jeff McIntyre walks over and invites her to a New Year's eve party.
Ciel knows Jeff much better than he thinks. He's the rich kid who's parents are always out of town. He brags about every girl he sleeps with. Loud and obnoxious. Jeff likes to get girls drunk and take advantage of them. When she first came to this school she overheard Jeff telling Mikey Vavala, Keith Anderson, and Mike Snow how was going to "Get in the new girls pants...".
"When is it, Jeffery McIntyre?"
"I'll swing by and pick you up, I got a dodge vi.."
"I can find my own way there. Let me know where it's at."
Meet JP. JP is your local drug dealer. He dropped out of school and started selling Acid, Pot, and E. JP, coincidentally is Jeff McIntyre's first cousin and his main source for drugs or alcohol. He loves to drink at the east street in.
"Hole in the wall." Is a great description of this place. Attractive young girls never get carded at the East street inn. It's not quite the same for the ugly ones. Ciel is well aware of this.
Meet Mikey Vavala. Mr. Vavala [or "V"] enjoys playing electric guitar, skateboarding, and tripping on acid. V hate's police, people who ask too many stupid questions, and "buzz kills." V is having the musician's version of writer's block as he plays in his basement. Acid always fixes that problem. Time ta call up JP, one of the very few people who has a cell phone in 1999.
A distorted voice answers JP's phone.
"Hello Micheal Vavala. Jonathan Palmer isn't able to make it to the phone right now. I left you a gift underneath your pillow. Think of it as half payment up front for the services you'll provide me."
"Who are you?! What "services" are you talking about?!? ANSWER ME!"
All V hears is a dial tone.
V grabs a baseball bat and heads upstairs to his room. "WHO'S HERE!!! SHOW YOURSELF." Nothing. He checks under his pillow and finds a note and 50 hits of acid.
Ciel is at home thinking to herself. When her older brother comes in with the alcohol she asked him for. "Hey sis, I thought you didn't drink."
"I don't." she grins
"You always were a weird one. What do you need this for?"
"If I'm paying you for it, does it matter?"
"Well...no. Just stay out of trouble, and call me if you need anything. I gotta go. The girlfriend wants me to celebrate new years with her family."
"Thank you Alex. Tell her to come over more!!!" She smiled.
V Show's up early to the party. He's delivering Alcohol since Jeff couldn't get a hold of JP, as well as selling Acid.
Ciel Show's up around 11:30, and get's in position. Half an hour and she'll be leaving. No more alcohol, no more drugs. In half an hour, V will shut off the power to the house, everyone will scream and panic. It's natural in everyone's eyes that Ciel wouldn't stay while everyone's freakin' out about y2k. She smiles to herself.
