The Phoenix Prestige - 31st July 2010 - Rock Mayhem, Reggae Bar, Hangzhou, China
Despite the sky-rocketing temperatures of China's sweltering summer heat, The Phoenix Prestige's Chinese tour kicked-off at Hangzhou's Reggae Bar last night without a glitch. The Hangzhounese audience welcomed their fellow rockers with a great night of energy, angst, punk rock, excitement and enthusiasm.
The Phoenix Prestige kicked off at 10pm, playing an hour long set comprised of five tracks from their recent release 'The Bullet Catch' (www.thephoenixprestige.bandcamp.com) some oldschool punk tunes and some new songs that bring out their more experimental influences and interests in the Jazz stylings of Charlie Mingus and modern-rock alchemists Battles, to name just a few.
Certainly the start of what will be an adventurous tour around China for The Phoenix Prestige.
