It looks like the Kremlin (2021) has declassified a Cold-War era imperialist contingency plan to take over Cuba should fall into the Soviet sphere of influence. The plan of action was cleverly disguised as a satire and the cover-up was reinforced by publishing it in an academic journal that's always walking the tight rope between psychology and pseudoscience.

It seems the implementation of the plan was forestalled by then-Soviet Minister of Foreign Trade Anastas Mikoyan (whom Cubans know very well).
