The Dark - Netflix - Season 3

If you haven't watched it and you enjoy the concepts of space travel, concepts of time, fate, destiny.

I would love to discuss all 3 seasons lol but would settle for just a light discussion on the ending of season 3 .

I thought they tied the whole story together cohesively and a sign of good writing for me is always when i am left mulling over the whole concept of the show for days after i have watched it.

I really like this show, but..... You really have to binge it all at once, or you're going to be confused a year later when the next season arrives, not remember stuff, get lost.

This was sort of an issue for me when season 2 came out, but season 2 was still 'simple' enough, relatively speaking, that it wasn't a detractor and I could still piece it all together and eventually remember most of the details from the year before.

But I'm afraid either season 3 so far isn't totally cohesive, or they've just got so many threads where my initial point of watching all of it all at once becomes critical, that I'm kinda just floating along at this point and hoping it comes together for me.

I felt exactly the same way!!!! I think binge watching it would have been the ideal way to watch it. I also felt the same way up to episode 5 and struggled but I thought they tied the ending together beautifully.

I would love to know if you felt the same way at the end as well.

I totally get that! I felt like that during the end of season 3 just tell me how it ends! And then they did

I had watched it entirely by indication of [MENTION=40271]mancino[/MENTION] .

I was surprised and it did beat my expectations (although they werent high). In the beginning, it felt a little bit like stranger things. I like that it was reasonably complex, of course that if it was way too complex people would hate it too much and it wouldnt be success, but they push it hard. Characters were interesting.

The scenario (their own village I forgot the name) is kind of repetitive, but I guess that it saves money.

As a fiction, the exploration of time concepts and different timelines was super cool. I really like seeing different epochs and different and distant years, which made the scenario a little bit more enjoyable although. I could say that the clothing, the scenario did just fine. Multiple actors for the same characters in different timelines was cool, alternative universe was interesting. I didnt like Jonas more or less turning himself into some sort of Darth Vader with no mask... He went too downhill.. But the exaggeration was for the drama, I know.

I felt the same about the Jonas comments ^^ but it does makes sense that this would occur, both from radiation and from being caught in the loop..

I also think that there were too much lies, and that they kind of help to confuse everything. Like, a lot of characters were somewhat bitchy, you know?

Yep, and its kind of weird how the visions of these people twist into negative and positive. Take Jonas mom for example, sometimes she looks like a saint, sometimes she looks like the devil (she basically induce like 2 husbands to cheat their wife and also cheat Mikhail as well). And she also abandons the cop man on prison. I know that the idea is to blur any line of good and bad, but sometimes they take it to the extreme...

But in other instance I really like the important woman (I am bad names) that dies on the past as a witch with white hair, she is character that comes from a quite good development.

Yep, and its kind of weird how the visions of these people twist into negative and positive. I think they are trying to cover a complex maze of themes ie duality, balance of good and evil, multiple time lines and overlapping consequences, while throwing in time travel and bastardized time loops. Jonah continues to say in all worlds .. this isn't right you and I do not belong, not realizing that he is actually quite right , they not only shouldn't have been together they shouldn't have existed all together. I love what they did with the "white witch" should we call her? She starts to question her future self which changes the series of events in the end. I think they developed her character and its Arch really nicely. Also Having Ulrichs wife killed by her own mother who was the young girl in the second time line that was given the necklace by Jonas mother was quite powerful.
