My dining room has become a catchall. I want to clear it of the collected clutter and the place I need to start is my sewing desk. My machine has been broken for months. I don't know when I will get it fixed or what I will sew when I do, since I dropped out of my Dagorhir group. So it's time to face it. *sigh* This is closure I don't like so much.

Good news, though. Winter is probably over, so I've tempted fate and washed up all the coats. I have hooks for them all, but they tend to wind up all over the raised hearth of our fireplace. It's going to be so nice to have them out of the living room. Soon it will be time to buy sandals for all the kids and stop bothering with socks until it starts to cool off again. :party2:

Raven's birthday
is just a little over a week away. Her gift, an iPod shuffle, arrived from Amazon a few days ago and I'm so excited to give it to her. I also feel very good about having bought it with money from my own sales.

Messing around with all my sewing stuff has made me feel how much I miss sewing. I need to look into getting my machine fixed or maybe trading it in for a less deluxe model. I don't use the embroidery feature. The only high tech functions I like are the auto backstitch and the button hole thingamajig.
