I've been trying to revamp my life and all, but sometimes I've really got to ask how silly it is really. Every single morning I have the ability to pretend that it's the beginning of a new chapter... which sort of takes the novelty/newness out of it, you know? What's it really mean to be a new, shiny person when your emotions triggered by stressful experiences are the same, your past is the same, and everyone still sees the same continuous person.

I'm trying though.

Spring helps a lot. I love the spring. The allergies can get pretty bad for me a week or two, but not as bad as late summer/fall allergies... The breeze, the trees blooming. The first heatwave of year slays us all into lounging, mall-leeching persons. The first kite-flying. Tulips. Daffodils. The sun rising before you. The chill under the sheets the first morning after you are lulled into leaving the window wide open through the night. The moody, changing weather.
