I recently got a new mobile phone, I'm struggling with getting stuff transfered from my old android phone to this new one, although I've been amazed at how transfer apps can work these days using wifi and stuff rather than cables.
Although I've found that mobiles use even smaller SIM cards now, that's each update I've had (which is more than ten years between each I think) that they shrink or are cut down, the phone does not even open up for batteries now, the battery seems to be part of the phone.
The only thing which I think is a downside to the new android phones are that they are pretty much limited to a single design, I bought my first mobile phone long after all the bricks had passed and it was one of the flip/clam style phones, there were a bunch of different sorts then, swiveling, clam, slide, all sorts and now its just your miniaturized tablet pretty much.
I thought I'd create a thread for everything mobile connected, you can discuss ones you've had in the past, maybe ones you've got now (although I understand if you dont want to do that because it reveals what stuff you've got to potential thieves) or ones that you'd want to have if you had infinite resources. Its probably clear enough that I know very little about tech and mobiles, I was late to get a mobile and expected it to go out of vogue/fashion actually, I was later still to get a touch screen device too but I love design and style. Probably my most favourite feature of mobiles has to be messaging apps and text messaging, I always thought that was kind of like a pager function on a phone.
I dont know if it says anything about me that I like to send texts rather than make actual calls, when I first owned a phone it was cheaper to do so but instead of reading in a spare moment I sent a bunch of texts (and at least one friend told me it was way too many, and I had one lady friend split with me because she thought it was obsessive but it was just my communication style).
