Mirabai Holland is my new video exercise teacher. Today was my second day of doing the workout and I was very proud of myself because I usually have a hard time being disciplined, but I'm glad I forced myself to do it. My plan is to do it every other day, which is what is recommended.

Anyhow, today I decided to watch the introduction after I was done exercising, and for the first time I saw her face up close. I didn't know how old she was before, but she has the body of a 25 year old. So anyway... I saw her face and I was shocked! This lady looks older than me! I looked her up online just now and she's at least 5 years older than me, maybe 8 or 9. I can't tell you what hope that gives me! I am so encouraged that I could actually get my body back into shape like that even at my age! I'm so glad I bought her DVD!

Another cool thing is that she incorporates ballet moves into the workout and I guess it's kinda silly, but I cried when I started doing the moves with her. You see, I secretly wanted to take ballet lessons when I was a little girl, but I never got to. I don't know... it just makes me happy to be learning some of the moves now. I mean, they're so beautiful and all. I've always wanted to be graceful... but I walk like a truck driver... and I'm not very coordinated at all.

Anyhow... it was a good session.

Yay! :static:I can't tell you how proud I am of myself for even doing this 4 times. Maybe I have developed some discipline in my old age. :newwink:

Well, of course, being the intense INTJ that I am, ever since I started the DVD training, I've been trying to figure out my teacher's MB Type. I mean, I do that with everyone I meet. Well, anyway, today, I'm thinking she's an ISTJ. She seems to be very I and J for sure. I suppose she could be ISFJ, now that I think about it. She doesn't have that personable "F" feel to her, but not all ... hmmm... come to think of it, all 3 of the ISFJs I know personally don't feel soft and warm like some of the NFs do, or the ISFPs, for the matter. Back to the drawing board!

Anyway, here's a picture of her:

With the sun in her face like that, you can't see her age very well. Her arms are beautiful... all lean muscle... no fat.

Mom, this is so cool! Way to go! :static:

I thought that was so sweet that you cried when you started doing the ballet moves. I work at a ballet school, and I can tell you that there are many women like you who come to take class because they always wanted to as a child!

I want to give you another suggestion for an AMAZING workout video. This video was made in the 80's, so it's been around for some time. It's called Callanetics: 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours. I just got it for Christmas, but I'm not at a point where I can consistently work out to it yet (I have to build up my body very gently because of the Fibro). But it has gotten RAVE reviews on Amazon, and I really enjoyed it.

Also, the woman who instructs the film (also the founder of Callanetics) has the most amazing body! I think she said she was in her 50's, and I'd take her body over mine any day (and I'm 25!). And what's cool is that between exercises, she shows candid before and after photos of people who have done the program. It's inspiring!

Anyway, just a thought if you want to mix up the video you're doing so it doesn't get boring (as many exercise videos do after time!).

Stick with it! I'm rooting for you! :static:

I knew you'd be happy for me! Thanks.

I actually bought 5 videos for that very reason... I didn't want to get bored and lose momentum or motivation. I will definitely check into it though. For right now, Mirabai is just who I needed. The workout is tough enough that I can't do the whole thing yet, but not so hard that I get left behind in a cloud of dust.

PS: How's your room coming along?
I think I might be getting motivated to clean mine soon!
