ill quote myself and then build upon it:
simply stated:
5. working with the above definition of love, it is possible to see that there will be varying degrees of fit between our own geometric pattern and "other" patterns that "deeply move us towards accepting them".
6. In theory, there might be one pattern out of 6 billion that would match best.
7. In practice, the top xxx,xxx (insert #) will all be so similar in pattern that their "fit" with your pattern will have no "detectable" difference and therefore its as if you have xxx,xxx possible "perfect geometric matches".
There is your multiple-soulmate theory![]()
IMO, it doesn't have to be a multiple soulmate theory if you look at it as a cognitive extrapolation.... since we cannot directly observe others' souls, we infer what they are like "on the inside". This is done with a good bit of guesswork, however, nonetheless, if the cognitive queue ends up with someone along the lines of "Holy shit, this girl/guy has it all", then you end up with that perception.
looking at 7 even....Saying someone is your "soulmate" is basically a declaration of a kind of Perfection, no? It is infered and/or perceived Perfection, that's all. No actual souls, or multiple souls, are needed!
William James got me disectin', yo!
