Okay, so this morning I just remembered that I have an abstract due today for my project in my Algorithms class.
On top of that, I'm still scrambling to prepare for my presentation on Computers and Communication (while hoping that I get to present next week instead of this evening). And I'm doing all this at my TA job.
But there's one thing I remember from yesterday: there was this faculty member walking around with her baby boy, trying to get him to fall asleep, while my teammates and I (for our object-oriented programming project, that is) were sitting at a table nearby and chatting. The faculty member spotted me smiling at her and the baby, so she came closer and let me see the baby. He was really adorable, and he had grabbed my finger with his tiny hand.
I still smile whenever I think about it.
At the very least, it's been keeping me calmer throughout the morning.
LESSON #4: In chaotic situations, sometimes it helps to remember the small good things in life. Like a baby holding on to your finger.
