I plan to do a wilderness survival trip for 2-3 days sometime in the next 7 months. Write a scenario or some conditions you'd like to see me survive (or not
), and I'll try to incorporate them into the challenge. This will likely take place in the mid-Appalachian mountains where temperatures often drop down to 0F (-17.8C) in the winter, but could go as low as -40F (that magical point where F = C, -40C). I'll be following all hunting, fishing, and natural protection regulations.
I'll be by myself. My backup safety/self-rescue plan is:
1. Minimal backpacking gear which will be carried, but only used if a serous threat to my health or safety exists.
2. A cell phone, which will likely not have a signal in most areas anyway.
